Future’s fallout with Ciara continues to play out in public.
While celebrating the release of his new album The WIZRD on Thursday night, the Atlanta rapper took over Apple Music for a wide-ranging interview where he put his ex’s husband Russell Wilson on blast for “not being a man.”
During a conversation with his longtime friend Big Bank Black on Freebandz Radio, Hndrxx spoke about his ex-fiancée with whom he shares a four-year-old son. According to Future, Ciara is controlling over her husband.
“He do exactly what she tell him to do,” he said. “He not being a man in that position. He not tellin’ her, ‘Chill out with that on the internet. Don’t even talk to him. I’m your husband! You better not even bring Future’s name up!’ If that was me, she couldn’t even bring his name up. She know that. She couldn’t even bring her exes’ names up.”
He continued, “Don’t give that shit no energy. It’s about me, whatever. I’m taking care of everything. I’m 1000 percent taking care of my situation.”
But he did give props to the Seattle Seahawks quarterback for his athletic skills, claiming that he doesn’t have an issue with the the Super Bowl champ teaching Future Jr. to play football. “Why wouldn’t I want a championship player coaching my son?” said Future. “I want the best for my son. This my son, this my blood. I want the best for my son. If I can get James Harden, LeBron James, or I can get one of the people I’m cool with to coach my son playing basketball, why wouldn’t I do that?”
Future’s comments come amid the former couple’s ongoing battle over their son’s travel schedule. Ciara claims Future has missed scheduled visits with baby Future, and she is seeking mediation so they can figure out a new schedule for their son.
