Kodak Black has a fan in Drake.

After hearing his “amazing” new album Dying to Live, Drizzy was so impressed by the music that he texted Kodak to tell him how much he enjoyed it.

“Bro your album really one of my favorites in the last five years,” he said in one of the messages, which the “ZEZE” rapper shared on Instagram.

He continued with the flattery. “The bars you are rapping about friends and your purpose is so pure.”

Drake was intrigued by his introspective thought process. “What got you there?” he asked Kodak. “Like you are almost talking from this god level birds eye view of your own life. I wanna know how you broke that wall.”

A grateful Kodak showed his appreciation in return. “@champagnepapi Down To Earth Thank You,” he captioned the screenshot.

Kodak’s sophomore album Dying to Live, which dropped Friday (Dec. 14), is expected to debut with 60-70,000 album-equivalent units. The 16 tracks include the hit single “ZEZE” with Travis Scott and Offset, plus appearances from Juice WRLD and Lil Pump.
