The battle wages on.
After Joyner Lucas challenged Tory Lanez to a rap battle, the Love Me Now? rapper-singer responded with a freestyle to Lucas’ Eminem collaboration “Lucky You.” Now Lucas has delivered his first freestyle over Meek Mill and Lanez’ DC4 collaboration “Litty.”
“What’s up with you R&B ni**as tryna turn rappers and trappers?” asks Lucas. “You should just stay in your lane, bro. You sound like PaRappa the Rapper. I’m looking down on you when you talk to me. You should grab you a ladder.”
He also takes aim at Tory’s hairline (“Maybe that doctor put something inside of your head when you got your new hairline replacement”) and compares him to Iggy Azalea. “They compare me to Em, they compare you to Iggy / They compare me to Meth, they compare you to Dizzy,” he raps. “We already got Drake, we don’t need another.”
It took only a matter of hours for Lanez to respond with his own freestyle to “Litty.” He clowns Lucas’ social media following (“Eminem couldn’t get you to a million on the ‘Gram / Chris Brown tried, ni**a failed both times”) and his family (“Your daddy was a musician and never made it / ‘Cause when you was born, it was you or him … I guess he figured, man, when you look at it in a nutshell / All I got is a failed music career and my revenge is giving this shit to my son”).
Tory ignited the feud during an Instagram Live session, where he was asked about Lucas. “The Joyner kid, he’s nice, but he can’t fuck with me. Not on no level, period,” he said, which prompted the “I’m Not Racist” MC to issue his rap battle challenge.
