Stadium status. After making waves with her breakout single “ICY GRL,” Saweetie graduates to the major leagues in the video for her London On Da Track collaboration “Up Now” featuring G-Eazy and Rich the Kid.
The hip-hop stars unite in the high-octane Mike Ho-directed clip, which was shot at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Saweetie’s hometown. The 25-year-old rising star takes the field, home to the Oakland Athletics, and hits the locker room with a blonde G-Eazy. Rich the Kid appears on the giant stadium screens, while Bay Area legend E-40 also make a cameo.
“I used to come here as a little kid, and now I’m shooting my video here,” said Saweetie in a behind-the-scenes clip.
“Up Now” marks the first collaboration between Saweetie and London, who’s produced hits for Drake, Post Malone, and 50 Cent. It is the first single from Saweetie’s upcoming debut album, due in November, and follows her nine-track EP High Maintenance.
