Iggy Azalea invaded the charts with her 2014 debut The New Classic, which spawned Top 40 hits like “Fancy” and “Black Widow.” Now the Aussie bombshell returns to her roots on her new EP Survive the Summer.
Led by the Tyga-assisted single “Kream,” the six-track project is reminiscent of her early mixtape days. “I felt like I was in a way taking a risk by going back to my mixtape vibe,” Iggy told Rap-Up. “I was going against what had been my recipe for success for the last few years. … Being on a bigger platform now, how would those people feel about mixtape Iggy?”
S.T.S also features a collaboration with Wiz Khalifa, who guests on “OMG.” “It has this very bouncy vibe that makes you want to rap comically without meaning to,” said Iggy.
