As the hip-hop community continues to mourn XXXTentacion’s death, the 20-year-old rapper’s life will be celebrated during a fan memorial next week.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 27, at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla. from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Cell phones and cameras are banned from the event.
“Fan memorial in loving memory of Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy,” reads the invite, which was posted on X’s Instagram page. “Come say your final goodbye.”
Around 1,000 fans flooded the streets of Los Angeles at an impromptu memorial earlier this week to pay tribute to the rapper. Cops eventually shut down the gathering after things got out of hand.
XXXTentacion was shot and killed as he was leaving a motorsports dealership in Deerfield Beach, Fla. on Monday (June 18). A 22-year-old man named Dedrick Devonshay Williams has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Prior to his death, X reportedly purchased four homes in South Florida for family members, including parents, siblings, and grandmothers, worth $1.7 million.
Earlier this week, his mother, Cleopatra Bernard, revealed that X’s girlfriend is pregnant with their first child, sharing an ultrasound photo on Instagram. “He left us a final gift,” she wrote.
