Nicki Minaj Performs on 'SNL' Season Finale

  /  05.19.2018

Did somebody call for the Queen?

Nicki Minaj returned to “Saturday Night Live” to close out Season 43 with two kick-ass performances. Following an introduction from host Tina Fey, the rap queen performed her top 10 hit “Chun-Li” for the first time on television.

Donning a sparkly black robe and chopsticks in her hair, the Harajuku Barbie emerged under a glowing Chinese arch with four ninja dancers by her side. After busting some killer moves, she removed her robe to reveal a sexy patent leather outfit, inspired by the “Street Fighter” character. Flanked by two female dancers, Ms. King Kong capped off her first performance as strobe lights filled the stage.

For her second performance of the night, Nicki surprised with her Playboi Carti collaboration “Poke It Out” off the latter’s new album Die Lit. Playboi hit the stage first before a blonde Nicki strut out in a sexy black cutout dress that showed off her curves. Fierce as ever, she delivered her fiery verse while flaunting her body and then called upon Carti before twerking for him, ending with a shoutout to her Barbz.

The “SNL” performance comes ahead of Nicki’s fourth album Queen, the follow-up to 2014’s The Pinkprint, which is set for release June 15. She has called the project her favorite so far, “W/o a shadow of a fkng doubt.”
