Wale continues to promote himself. Shortly after dropping It’s Complicated, Folarin unloads Self Promotion, another brief collection of songs.

The new EP features four tracks, including the previously-released “Negotiations” buzz single. It also includes “Body Body Body (Freestyle)” and the socially-conscious cuts “Salary Kaep” and “Cassius (Excellency).”

As the song titles suggest, NFL star turned activist Colin Kaepernick inspired “Salary Kaep,” while Muhammad Ali (born Cassius Clay) influenced “Cassius (Excellency).”

“I’m unapologetic, be forever pro-black,” Folarin raps on the former song. “No Nazi gonna stop this bag / Infrared beam on Confederate flag / I ain’t with the rhetoric the president be on.”

Later, on “Cassius,” Wale continues this theme. “Pro-black isn’t anti-white,” he raps. “But how we act like we don’t see no tiki torches at night? / Pro-black isn’t anti-white / But if a Nazi try me, catch these Ali hands on sight.”
