Chris Brown and Joyner Lucas keep the collaborations coming. Following “Stranger Things,” the duo picks things back up on “I Don’t Die.”
Over a hard-hitting instrumental, the guys go back and forth with rapid-fire verses. “This gon’ last a lifetime,” raps Lucas. “No more Mr. Nice Guy / I text Jaden Smith, and told that ni**a he an icon / Don’t get shit fucked up, just ’cause I ain’t got no ice on.”
Breezy comes through with singing and rapping, asking why his haters want his downfall. “Why you wanna hate on progress?” he asks. “Why you wanna keep me in the projects? / Ni**a, why you wanna eat off my check?”
Chris and Joyner also plan on releasing a prison-themed video for their collaboration. In fact, they wanted to release it back when J. Cole dropped KOD.
“I was supposed to drop my newest video with @chrisbrown today but @JColeNC had to fuck everything up with the release of his newest album so now I must find several seats and watch the [king] work,” Lucas tweeted at the time. “album is classic btw. Glad someone else besides me is publicly against these KOD.”
“Stranger Things” and “I Don’t Die” are singles off Brown and Lucas’ forthcoming joint album Angels & Demons. Next, Joyner will head out on his “I’m Kind of a Big Deal Tour,” which kicks off May 6.
