Video: SZA feat. Kendrick Lamar - 'Doves in the Wind'

Before their “Championship Tour” kicks off, SZA and Kendrick Lamar join forces in the martial arts-inspired video for “Doves in the Wind.”

Directed by Nabil, the visual takes place in a desert. The TDE songstress plays the role of a student, while K-Dot plays the kung fu master. After watching her run through his tests, he commends the warrior. “You’re a little tougher than I expected,” he says.

The visual ends with an epic battle. After a brief tea break, the stars levitate, kick, punch, and evade strikes with precision. “You’re pretty good,” Kendrick contends. “But your style is no match for mine.” Soon, however, SZA lands a combination of flying kicks and floats in the wind.

Next up, Kung Fu Kenny and Kung Fu SZA will head out on “The Championship Tour.” Featuring ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, SiR, and Lance Skiiiwalker, the trek kicks off May 4 in Vancouver.

“Doves in the Wind” is the latest release from SZA’s critically-acclaimed debut Ctrl, which dropped last year. She plans to release a deluxe version of the album later this year.
