Tee Grizzley and Lil Yachty open up “2 Vaults” with their latest collaboration. Over booming production by London on Da Track, the rappers go back and forth with boastful verses.
“Too much money, I need like two vaults,” raps Grizzley. “Stacks big and green, I call my pockets the new Hulk…Diamonds dancing on me, doing the moonwalk / Can’t wear my A.P. Had to let it cool off / Almost died from pneumonia, had to take my jewels off.”
Money is also on Yachty’s mind. “Ball like Sefolosha, skrrt the Testarossa,” he raps. “Ni**a all about the guap like a stockbroker…Every bitch I ever fucked with was mad older / Had to keep this shit player like the O.G. Yoda.”
Grizzley spoke with Beats 1 about his camaraderie with Lil Boat. “Yachty is a real dude,” he said. “He’s a person who sticks to his word…ad he’s going to be himself no matter who’s around, no matter what position he’s in. And he’s got a big heart. I rock with Yachty the long way.”
“2 Vaults” is a single off Tee’s debut album Activated. “Right after Activated, I’m coming right back,” Grizzley added. “Activated is gonna be bad for a lot of rappers because they’re not gonna be able to get away with the B.S. they’ve been getting away with. I hope they enjoy themselves, have fun, and get their shine on. After Activated comes out, it’s gonna be over with.”
Activated drops May 11.
