Wale is in “Negotiations.” Not even one month after dropping It’s Complicated, Folarin fires off another track.

Over menacing piano-backed production from Ayo N Keyz, the Maybach Music Group MC spits about his peers. “Some of these ni**as was humble with me,” he raps. “Look how they switch up / Look how they talk to you different, like you ain’t better than them.”

After cutting ties with Atlantic, Wale says he’s negotiating a new deal. “Mind racing,” he raps. “Negotiating my situation / I’m bad business, the rap industry think I’m crazy / The gatekeepers that hate me say I’m militant / Really ni**as don’t feel you, less you doing that ni**a shit.”

“Negotiations” follows Wale’s split from Atlantic. A contract is seemingly on fire in the single’s artwork. While he may be looking for a new label home, this song was released via Maybach Music Group and Every Blue Moon.

Folarin recently spoke about distrust during an episode of TIDAL’s Rap Radar podcast. “When you’re so wrapped up in being an artist and making the art, those are the easiest people in the world to take advantage of,” he said. “You so wrapped up in your music, there could be people around you like, ‘I know he not paying attention’. It still makes it difficult to trust people.”
