Sam Smith is looking for a savior. The British singer taps Logic for the remix to his Thrill of It All single “Pray,” which was co-produced by Timbaland and Jimmy Napes.

The new edition finds the “Everyday” MC battling with outside doubt, religious quandaries, and imperfection. “I’ve been thinking lately,” he explains. “Will the devil take me or will God protect me? / I know I ain’t perfect, but you should respect me / They don’t want me happy.”

Bobby Tarantino actually provides two verses in between Smith’s evocative vocals. “I am me,” he adds in the second verse. “I’m a man / I’m a sinner, but understand / Aren’t we all?” Later, he ponders the impact of growing older. He also asks whether his constant cries for help are in vain.

Smith beamed about this partnership. “I am so excited for you to hear this new version of one of my favourite tracks on the album,” he said. “It was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with Logic to create this, such an incredible artist.”

The Thrill of It All topped the charts upon its release in November. Later this year, Smith is heading out on “The Thrill of It All Tour,” which is set to kick off June 18 in Toronto.

Meanwhile, Logic will launch his “Bobby Tarantino Vs. Everybody Tour” with special guests NF and KYLE on June 8 in Boston.
