Kodak Black is currently in solitary confinement, after being penalized for a phone violation.
According to TMZ, the rapper was given 30 days in the hole for having somebody connect him to another person he wasn’t supposed to be communicating with, as per the report, which cites court documents.
Black is now asking for a laptop and tutor visits during solitary confinement. He says he’s been working on his GED since before being incarcerated, and he’d like to continue studying for the test. A judge has yet to rule on the matter.
The Pompano Beach rapper was arrested during a home raid in January. Last month, he pled not guilty to multiple charges including possession of marijuana and possession of ammunition.
Despite his legal troubles, Black has been releasing new material. Last month, he dropped his R&B album Heart Break Kodak as a Valentine’s Day surprise.
