New Music: Tee Grizzley feat. Moneybagg Yo - 'Don't Even Trip'
Tee Grizzley isn’t trippin’. After teaming up with Lil Durk on Bloodas, the Detroit rapper joins forces with Moneybagg Yo on his latest single, “Don’t Even Trip.”
Over trap-infused production from Chopsquad DJ, Grizzley raps about meeting with Diddy, his love for the Motor City, and stacks that won’t fold. “Came a long way for my city,” he raps. “I made it out of them trenches.”
Meanwhile, Moneybagg makes a reference to the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies. “My enemies praying for peace,” he raps. “My gorillas get busy / And you know I’m from Memphis, so I’m fuckin’ with Grizzley.”
Tee spoke with Beats 1 about why he’s so enamored with his latest banger. “I love ‘Don’t Even Trip’ so much because I’m used to putting pain on my lyrics,” he said. “I really come from nothing. I really tell a lot of stories. I want people to know who I am. ‘Don’t Even Trip’ gave me a chance to really put some swag on a song, put some sauce on it.”
Up next, Grizzley is set to release Activated, which he said will be a fresh start of sorts. After that, the Detroit spitter will team up with Lil Yachty on a joint project, for which they’ve already recorded 10 songs.
