Juelz Santana is a wanted man. The Harlem rapper reportedly fled Newark Liberty International Airport on Friday (March 9) after TSA agents found a firearm in his luggage, according to NBC 4 New York.

Sources say that Santana, whose real name is LaRon Louis James, ran away after the gun was discovered, leaving his belongings behind, before possibly jumping into a taxi cab. Port Authority Police Department officials are now looking for the Dipset MC.

In most cases, bringing a gun to an airport checkpoint can lead to a fine or arrest. Fines for loaded guns can reportedly be as high as $9,800.

It is unclear why the 36-year-old rapper bolted the scene, but this isn’t his first time in the news over legal issues. In 2011, he was arrested for drug and weapons charges and later that same year, he was also charged with making terrorist threats and disorderly conduct.

UPDATE: Juelz Santana turned himself in to authorities on Monday (March 12) and has been charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of carrying a weapon on an aircraft. Both charges carry a maximum potential penalty of 10 years in prison, according to the United States Department of Justice.
