Barkley is no Offset. Ahead of their performance on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, Migos join host Charles Barkley and cast member Kate McKinnon for a hilarious promo.
The clip begins with Barkley confirming this weekend’s lineup before Offset does his trademark name shout: “Offset!” Kate follows with her own version, “Kate!” All is well until the NBA legend tries his hand.
“Charles!” he yells, but the rest of the crew isn’t too keen on his attempt. “Whoa,” Offset says. “That’s my thing.” McKinnon adds: “Jeez, Charles. Kate!”
Barkley’s road to hosting the show hasn’t been easy. The Round Mound of Rebound went through extensive training to get into shape for the gig, as shown in the hilarious bonus short that “SNL” released ahead of the program.
Cast member Aidy Bryant acted as his coach throughout the process. “The show is Saturday,” she yells at him. “You’re not ready. Look me in the eye and tell me you’re ready.”
Migos is coming off the release of Culture II, which has spawned the hit singles “Stir Fry” and “MotorSport.” The crew also just collaborated with Gucci Mane and Lil Yachty on “Solitaire.”
