Kodak Black is pleading not guilty to charges including possession of marijuana and possession of ammunition in connection with his January home raid arrest.
The Pompano Beach rapper was in court on Tuesday (Feb. 27), where he entered the not guilty pleas. Just last week, three charges stemming from the case were dropped, including possession of a weapon or ammunition by a delinquent, grand theft of a firearm, and child neglect.
In January, officials arrested the Floridian MC after a home raid, where authorities uncovered 94.9 grams of marijuana. Police apparently learned about his criminal activity after he posted videos from his home on Instagram Live. The IG Live session reportedly featured several men with guns and drugs and his 2-year-old son.
His lawyer Bradford Cohen is arguing that it is impossible to prove that the drugs and gun belonged to him, according to The New York Daily News. Miami’s ABC affiliate, Local 10, reports that he is due back in court May 3.
Legal issues aside, Kodak has continued his prolific musical output, releasing Heart Break Kodak on Valentine’s Day and collaborating with Rick Ross and T-Pain on “Florida Boy.”
