Shortly after doubling up with “44 More,” Logic goes on an “Overnight” adventure to Japan and Hawaii in the video for his latest release.
The clip opens with a message about how the visual came together. “We took a trip to Maui & Tokyo to record music,” he said. “While there Logic said, ‘Yo let’s shoot a music video. Fuck it.'”
Bobby Tarantino kicks back on a hammock in Maui and throws a scenic pool party at sunset with some friends. He also lounges on a jet and runs through the streets of Tokyo, rapping along to his track about success in the face of adversity.
“I treated everybody with respect and now I’m rich,” he raps. “Maybe you got issues with your daddy though / Maybe you was bullied back in high school / Maybe you are just a tool / Maybe you’re the reason I don’t fuck with nobody / And maybe you’re the reason I came up with nobody.”
Last year, Logic teased a portion of the song on Snapchat. It’s unclear where “Overnight” and “44 More” will land, but they could very well appear on the Maryland rapper’s forthcoming album Ultra 85. “My next album will be called Ultra 85, and it will be the conclusion to this saga,” he wrote in a hidden message on a limited edition booklet for last year’s Everybody.
Aside from that, Logic has his eyes on the big screen. “I’ve always wanted to act, so I’m making a movie,” he recently said. “I just finished a novel and I’m excited to get it published. You can’t put my talents in a box because my talents have put me in a mansion, and I’ll be damned if anybody in the world can tell me what I can or cannot do because they’re scared to do it themselves.”
