Bow Wow is back. After some time away from the mic, Shad Moss unleashes his new single, “YEAAHH.”
Over a thumping beat, the rapper-actor references Gucci Mane, Magic City, and even the Bow Wow Challenge. “We at Liv on a Sunday, then hit Magic City Monday,” he raps. “This ain’t no Bow Wow Challenge, got the jet on the runway / My ni**as get it back, you don’t want no action / Off-White sneakers, Michael Jackson jacket.”
The self-deprecating line is a jab at himself over last year’s private jet photo controversy. At the time, Bow Wow bragged about taking a private jet with a promo shot from a private jet company’s website. He was then spotted on a commercial flight and ridiculed for lying online. From then on, fake stunting was referred to as the “Bow Wow Challenge.”
“YEAAHH” is a single off Bow Wow’s upcoming Greenlight 6 project, the latest in a series which began with 2009’s The Green Light. The previous installment, Greenlight 5, dropped in 2013.
Bow Wow, who can be seen on WE tv’s “Growing Up Hip-Hop,” is slated to perform “YEAAHH” for the first time on MTV’s “TRL” this afternoon.
