Where is the love? Fergie is being roasted over her bizarre performance of the national anthem at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game, which is being dubbed one of the worst celebrity-sung renditions yet.
Viewers took to social media as the former Black Eyed Peas songstress performed “The Star-Spangled Banner,” bashing her vocals, and laughing about the player and fan reactions that were captured on camera. Chance the Rapper and Jimmy Kimmel, who were on hand to enjoy the game, were also seen seemingly laughing at one point.
Roseanne Barr, the comedian who is often lambasted for her version of the anthem, took to social media to add: “Who saw Fergie’s national anthem performance at the NBA All Star Game? I think mine was better lowkey.”
During halftime, Shaquille O’Neal called Fergie’s rendition “different” and “sexy,” while Charles Barkley said he “needed a cigarette” after watching her performance.
