New Music: Tinashe feat. Future - 'Faded Love'

  /  02.12.2018

After teaming up on “How Many Times” off 2014’s Aquarius, Tinashe reunites with Future on “Faded Love” off her long-awaited album Joyride.

Over hypnotic Stargate production, the R&B songstress gets descriptive about her lover. “I can feel every breath on the edge of my neck, cigarettes and cologne,” she sings. “Just follow me, follow me, follow me, follow me home…Let’s just feel this feeling.”

Hndrxx provides a mixture of rapping and Auto-Tuned singing. “If you love me, teach me, I wanna learn,” he sings. “Take you farther than Jerusalem when it’s my turn / We so spiritually connected / We goin’ in the right direction.”

Tinashe spoke with Beats 1 about why she decided to link up with Pluto. “Future’s on my first album and that was one of my favorite songs on the first album, but I felt like it was pretty underrated,” she said. “So I was like, ‘It would be perfect to have him back again.’ I thought this song was really an interesting song to put him on because it was a little more unexpected, a little bit more muted, and not necessarily like a trap music, or something that would be obvious. It’s a kind of new flavor.”

Last month, the R&B princess teased three new singles, including “Faded Love” and the previously-released “No Drama” with Offset. She also hinted at another track titled “Me So Bad,” all of which are expected to appear on Joyride, her long-awaited follow-up to Aquarius.
