Joyner Lucas is running with Meek Mill on “Run It,” a Timbaland-produced collaboration that features acrobatic raps over futuristic production.
The incarcerated Philly rhymer kicks off the booming track with a boastful verse about sipping Ciroc with Diddy and meeting with JAY-Z. “And I ride, for the ‘Ye, Westside, Kim K,” he raps. “White girl, through the Bay / In my hood, I’m Mac Dre.”
Lucas blends quick-paced raps and slower cadences over Tim’s bounce-driven beat, which features some of the producer’s famous ad-libs in the background. “Almost got killed in a drive-by,” he raps. “Stay in your biz, don’t mind mine / I’m in your top five’s top five.”

Shortly after the song emerged online, Joyner seemed to wonder how it was released. “Who tf leaked this shit?” he tweeted. “Smh.” Meanwhile, Timbo reshared the song on Twitter.
For Lucas, “Run It” is just a warm up. After making waves with his controversial “I’m Not a Racist” single and video, the Massachusetts rapper with an Eminem co-sign, is set to team up with Chris Brown. Recently, he shared an image of himself with Breezy that hints: “Video coming soon.”
Earlier this month, J.L. teased upcoming music with Brown. “You ever heard Michael Jackson rap?” he tweeted. “Lol well Me and @chrisbrown got a lot of heat in the oven. No bullshit tho,, breezy mite be my new favorite rapper. 😎 you’ll see.”
