After hinting at a “20GreatTeen,” Mila J kicks off the new year with a bang with her brand new EP, January 2018.
Fittingly, the 6-song project pops off with “Happy New Year.” Other songs include “Coldest Shoulder in the West,” “Disclaimer,” “4 Pictures Away,” “By a Show of Hands,” and “Missing You.”
A thong-wearing Mila closed out last year with a revealing picture. “2017 can kiss my ass,” she wrote. In a separate GIF of herself twerking, she added: “Who ready for 20GreatTeen?”
The Los Angeles songstress has also been in the news for other reasons. Pop sensation Dua Lipa recently apologized for her 2014 cover of Mila’s “Smoke, Drink, Break-Up,” which includes the N-word.
“In relation to my 2014 cover I never meant to offend or upset anyone,” wrote the “New Rules” singer. “I didnt say the full word but I can admit I shouldnt have gone there at all and that a different word could’ve been recorded altogether to avoid offence and confusion. I wasn’t thinking it through at the time. I always stand up for social justice and I am very sorry to anyone that I have offended.”
