It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Just in time for Christmas, Chance the Rapper and Jeremih team up once again for Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama: Re-Wrapped, an extended version of last year’s collaborative mixtape.
The 19-track set premiered via Power 92 in Chicago and on Chance the Rapper’s Instagram on Monday (Dec. 18). “Back where we started,” said Lil Chano during his live stream. “Chicago, I’m so proud of you. I’m happy we made it this far.”
The re-wrapped version of Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama features the original nine tracks, mixed and mastered, with appearances from Bongo ByTheWay, Noname, Zaytoven, Hannibal Burress, and King Louie. There are also 10 new tracks, including “Ms. Parker,” “Big Kid Again,” “Family Is For,” and “Let It Snow,” with contributions from Common and Lena Waithe.
Last month, Bongo ByTheWay spoke exclusively with Rap-Up about the holiday release. “We just put it out for the culture, for the fans and stuff,” he said. “Now, we’re really finishing it up and we’re gonna put it out right. It’s gonna have new music. It’s gonna be mixed and mastered and everything.”
