In the wake of Lil Peep’s untimely passing, Post Malone honors the late rapper-singer with a tattoo on his arm.
The “rockstar” added a black and grey portrait of Peep on his left arm, surrounded by other ink that he has received in the past. It’s a tribute to a friend that he was just getting to know.
“In the short time that I knew you, you were a great friend to me and a great person,” Malone said in a dedication to Peep. “Your music changed the world and it’ll never be the same. i love you bud. Forever.”
Speaking with “The H3 Podcast,” Malone remembered his late friend. “I fucking love that kid,” he said. “It sucks. I only knew him for a little bit but more than a genuine good real true person that he was, his music was going to change the culture of everything. Already shifting culture in such a short period of time. He was kind of on, I guess. He’s just an incredible, talented dude, and good guy.”
Lil Peep died of an apparent overdose on Nov. 15 at the age of 21. His death has sparked an investigation over whether he was given drugs that had been laced with fentanyl, a powerful opioid that reportedly contributed to Prince’s accidental overdose.
