Yeeeah! The Snowman returns with a flurry in the form of two new singles featuring appearances by Diddy and Tee Grizzley.
Up first is “Bottles Up” featuring Puff Daddy. Backed by sirens, piano keys, trap drums, and Sean Combs ad-libs, Jeezy raps about his Biscayne condo, diamonds floating, and Bentley coupes. “Put your Rollies in the sky,” he raps. “Bottles up, hold them high / Throw some money in the sky.”
Speaking to Beats 1, Jeezy said that the Diddy collaboration came about after some drinks. “He brought out the DeLeón and we just kicked it, vibed out the whole week, and this is what came out,” he explained. “This is a celebration…This is the song you play when the paycheck come in on Friday.”
From there, Jeezy travels to Detroit for a collaboration with rising Michigan spitter Tee Grizzley. “Rose gold Hummer, wife beater, chinchilla,” raps Jizzle. “It’s gon’ be a cold summer / Got it snowing in the city, I’m about to change the weather.” Chef Boy R. Grizzley follows with a verse about his own grind.
It’s unclear where “Bottles Up” and “Cold Summer” are set to appear, but Jeezy is already teasing new material on Instagram. “It’s gone be a Cold Summer aka Winter Time,” he wrote. “☃️ #TrustaYaProcess #ColdSummer #SnowSeason.”
Last year, the Snowman released his latest album, Trap or Die 3. At the time, he spoke with Rap-Up about his release strategy. “I’ve been sitting back and seen people just popping out like microwaved popcorn,” he said. “I would prefer my popcorn gourmet. It’s more about quality and not quantity.”
