Nicki Minaj and Lil Uzi Vert are joining forces.
Taking to Twitter on Friday (Oct. 20), the Young Money queen confirmed that she has remixed Uzi’s “The Way Life Goes.” While the track has “been done,” the release is being held up.
“apparently someone somewhere wants to hold back on putting it out right now,” she tweeted. “It’s not me & it’s not Uzi tho. Tea anyone?”
Back in August, Minaj shared a video of herself listening to Uzi’s “The Way Life Goes.” Her caption was: “Uzi better make this a single, send me the beat, and quit playin.”

“The Way Life Goes” is the latest single from Uzi’s Luv Is Rage 2, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
But this isn’t the only Nicki track that is being delayed. In fact, Minaj seemed to put the onus on Quavo when she was asked about the status of their collaboration, “For Keeps.” “Ask Quavo,” she responded.
The two teased a collaboration back in May and shot a music video in July.
This week, producer London On Da Track confirmed that he also has “more ammo on the way” with Minaj. The two first collaborated on London’s single “No Flag.”
Meanwhile, Minaj has been hard at work on her fourth album, the follow-up to 2014’s The Pinkprint, which she calls her “best album thus far.” No release date has been announced yet.
“This album is everything in my life coming full circle and me being truly, genuinely happy,” she recently told T: The New York Times Style Magazine. “It feels almost like a celebration. The last album, The Pinkprint, was almost like my diary, closing the chapter on certain things and not knowing if I was happy or sad about beginning new chapters. I was really writing about feeling unsure. Now, I can tell you guys what happened for the last two years of my life. I know who I am. I am getting Nicki Minaj figured out with this album and I’m loving her.”
