London On Da Track and Nicki Minaj are up to something. After collaborating with the Young Money queen on “No Flag,” the first single off his forthcoming album, Who Would’ve Known, the super-producer reveals they have “more ammo on the way.”
Speaking exclusively with Rap-Up, London teased their next collaboration while talking about how “No Flag” came to be. “I left her with the record,” he explains. “21 Savage and Offset, we already had it done. She was totally amped for it. She laid her verse down in the next few days, sent it back, and the song went from there.”
When the Atlanta hitmaker got the record back, he also got a shoutout from Nicki mid-verse. “London got that heat though,” she raps on the track. “My jet land at Heathrow.”
“It was a good way to come with a new tag,” he says. “I appreciate that she did that for me. Not a lot of people get that, especially coming from Nicki, so it’s just a blessing to have Nicki a part of my history and a part of my work.”
Although he’s mum about solid plans for the future, he did hint at new material with Nicki. “Just know,” he says. “More ammo on the way…Yep, more heat though.”
Minaj is currently working on her fourth album, the follow-up to 2014’s The Pinkprint. Meanwhile, London is crafting his own album Who Would’ve Known, which promises unexpected collaborations, and is set to perform at Avalon Hollywood as part of his “No Flag Tour” on Oct. 27.
