New Music: Kevin Gates feat. PnB Rock - 'Beautiful Scars'

Kevin Gates bares “Beautiful Scars” on his latest single, a PnB Rock-assisted banger about pain and healing.

Over a thumping instrumental, PnB delivers a soulful and heartfelt chorus. “I wear my heart on my skin,” he sings. “Can’t forget where I’ve been / You gave me scars, beautiful scars.”

With his quickly-shifting flow, Gates provides some insight into his ups and downs with friends. “I remember when being a stand-up guy used to mean something,” he raps in a conversational manner. “Now, it means nothing.”

“Beautiful Scars” follows “Had To” off Gates’ forthcoming mixtape, By Any Means 2. Despite the fact that KG is currently locked up behind bars, the sequel to 2014’s original, is set to drop Sept. 21.
