Video: Fergie feat. Nicki Minaj - 'You Already Know'

  /  09.12.2017

Fergie is back with a bag full of tricksies.

The former Black Eyed Peas frontwoman teams up with Nicki Minaj in the video for “You Already Know,” the will.i.am-produced single off her long-awaited sophomore album, Double Dutchess.

Directed by Bruno Ilogti and Giovanni Bianco, the sleek visual is black and white, reminiscent of Fergalicious’ “Hungry” clip featuring Rick Ross. Here, she dons a black suit and a black latex outfit, while Nicki sports a white suit and matching body-hugging dress.

Throughout the stunning video, which features a giant chess board and chalk backdrop, Fergie and Nicki deliver audio tributes to Big Daddy Kane, Rob Base, and DJ EZ Rock. By the end, both stars stand side to side with chalk in their hands.

Fergie recently opened up about her collaboration with Nicki. “It was actually our fans,” she told Hot 97. “We got a lot of requests both of us, on both sides, from our fans, to do this. We talked to each other and it was just like, ‘We should do this. It’s a good idea.’ We tried something, it didn’t work, and then we got this one track, which was done by will.i.am, which, you know I love a good old school throwback.”

The pop star, who drops some bars of her own, continued the praise. “I’m totally being me, living my life and Nicki blessed it. She’s completely being Nicki,” she said. “It’s not pitted against each other. This is about being bosses, feeling ourselves, and rolling with it, being a little braggadocios and owning who we are…She killed it. I feel so blessed to have her on it.”

Double Dutchess: Seeing Double, a one-night only visual experience, is set to hit iPic Theaters on Sept. 20, while Fergie’s album Double Dutchess arrives Sept. 22.
