Tyga isn’t slowing down. In between dropping Bitch I’m the Shit 2 and launching his “Bitch I’m the Shit 2 Tour” later this month, T-Raww unleashes two new tracks in the form of “My Way” and “The Race (Remix)” featuring controversial upstart Tay-K.
The first of those, produced by 808 Mafia, finds King Gold Chains flexing like Frank Sinatra while referencing Nelly’s “E.I.,” Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz’s “Bia Bia,” and Destiny’s Child’s “Independent Women Part 1.” Over a thumping instrumental, the Cali MC boasts about OutKast and his G.O.O.D. Music boss. “Big Boi like André,” he raps. “I’m doing it my way / Come at me sideways? / I might go Kanye!”
The second of these cuts is Tyga’s remix of Tay-K’s “The Race.” Over the buzzworthy instrumental, T-Raww raps about his ongoing financial dispute with Cash Money. “No receipts,” he raps. “The feds want that case / Cash Money, I still need that from Baby / Millions.”
Tay-K’s “The Race” has earned acclaim in the midst of controversy. While the song has soared as high as No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100, and has been co-signed by the likes of Travis Scott, Lil Yachty, Kodak Black, Meek Mill, and Lil Bibby, he’s been locked up in connection to multiple murder charges. The 17-year-old rapper will now reportedly be tried as an adult for capital murder charges.
