PARTYNEXTDOOR keeps the new music coming. On the heels of several loose drops, PND teams up with Jadakiss for his latest release, “Cartier.”
Over a mellow instrumental, the OVO crooner sings about his expensive shades and his self-reliance. “Cut ’em off like Korean barbecue scissors,” he sings. “I wear expensive Cartier frames, they don’t see the vision / I could do it all by myself, no assistance / And I could do it all by myself, with no assistance.”
J-to-the-Muah comes through with his raspy flow and punchline-heavy rhyme style shortly afterwards. “They ain’t know me then, I bet they know me now,” he raps. “Dead weight ain’t do nothing, but slow me down / Pure confidence, straight dominance / Need no co-defendants no accomplices.”
“Cartier” is part of a string of new releases from Party, including “Break Me Down,” “DAMN,” “Put It On Silent,” “Naked,” and the Ty Dolla $ign-assisted “Put It On Silent (Remix).”
Next up, PND is set to hit the road with Halsey on her “hopeless fountain kingdom Tour,” which kicks off Sept. 29.
