Stream MadeinTYO's 'True's World' EP
MadeinTYO welcomes fans to True’s World with his new EP.
The 6-track project, which is available to stream a day early, offers production from FKi 1st, DWN2EARTH, Nard & B, Yada Yada & Di$ney, and Tokyo himself. It also features the single “Cashing Out,” which was released earlier this month.
True’s World is particularly meaningful for the Private Club MC, because it was inspired by the birth of his newborn son, True. “This EP is for my fans, I wouldn’t be here without them,” Madeintyo told The FADER. “True’s World is special to me because it was inspired by my son — my biggest collab this year was making him with my fiancé [illustrator] distortedd. And it felt great to work so closely with my brother, 24hrs — I gotta thank him for helping me put True’s World together. I hope all my fans enjoy the new vibe & growth.”
Tokyo raps about all of this on the EP’s title track opener. “I’ve just been shopping for cribs ’cause they found out where I live,” he rhymes. “Me and distortedd, we good, we just went half on a kid.”
