A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Young Dolph turn “D.A.R.E.” — the program meant to keep kids off drugs — into a song about their lavish and sometimes dangerous lifestyles.
Daring haters to take his Rolex from him, A Boogie boasts about his glasses and his dough over trap-infused production.
“I know they watchin’,” he raps. “That’s why these Cartiers cost a thousand, so they can block ’em / Bitch, I’m a doctor, I got the medicine for you / Hope that you planning on stoppin’ / I got a problem / All of my friends are zombies, ’cause I ain’t feelin’ nobody.”
Meanwhile, Young Dolph keeps things menacing with a street-savvy verse. “We don’t do no drive-bys over here,” he rhymes. “We walk up on you / Doctor said all this ice got me coming down with pneumonia / If it don’t come with two commas, ni**a, I don’t want it / If it ain’t foreign and go 200, ni**a, I don’t want it.”
A Boogie is coming off collaborations with PnB Rock (“X Factor”) and Chris Brown, Yo Gotti, and Kodak Black (“Pills and Automobiles”). He’s also fresh off the XXL Freshman cover, which placed him alongside the likes of KYLE, Aminé, and XXXTentacion.
