For the first time in over a decade, DJ Khaled takes flight. The We the Best mogul and Hot 100 star has overcome his fear of flying thanks to his 10-month-old son, Asahd.
“I haven’t flown in 10 years,” he said on Instagram. “That’s the only thing I had, was fear of flying. Asahd made me overcome my fear of flying.” Turning to look at his “young icon,” Khaled said, ” I love you.”

Roc Nation’s Lenny Santiago also addressed Khaled’s feat on Instagram. “This is over a decade of no flights for my brother Khaled,” he wrote. “Over 12 yrs actually. Everyone and their mother has tried to convince him. Even Tony Robbins. Lol. He’s been offered Jets and a million dollars for a gig and still a NO GO! It wasn’t happening no matter what. BUT… Thank God for the Young Prince @asahdkhaled who is basically the main reason we’re on this flight. Thanks Asahd!!!!! That’s the good news.”
Lenny continued, by saying that this will open up more opportunities for revenue. “The bad news is, all promoters… The BAG has just gone UP big time and now every gig must come with a Jet. Lol,” he added. “Congratulations and Thanks in advance. Lolll.”
