Mystikal Charged with First Degree Rape

  /  08.21.2017

Police are looking for Mystikal, the New Orleans rapper best known for hits like “Danger (Been So Long)” and “Shake Ya Ass,” in connection to a sexual assault in Shreveport, La. last year.

Law enforcement officials and insiders say that the alleged incident took place Oct. 22 at a Shreveport casino, according to local news outlet KSLA. Investigators found evidence on the scene that matches with 46-year-old Michael Tyler (Mystikal) and a 26-year-old man named Averweone Holman.

Holman has been apprehended, but officials are still looking for Mystikal. Warrants indicate that both suspects are facing one count of first degree rape with a bond set at $2 million each.

In 2004, Mystikal was sentenced to six years for sexual battery and was required to register as a sex offender. Originally, he was charged with aggravated rape and extortion. He was released in January 2010.

Police are also looking for a 42-year-old woman named Tenichia Wafford, who reportedly tried to convince the victim to drop the charges against Mystikal and Holman. Wafford is reportedly being charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree rape.

Investigators urge anyone with information on the case to contact Crime Stoppers.
