Hot off his “Pills and Automobiles” collaboration with Chris Brown, Kodak Black gets animated in the video for “Patty Cake.”
Directed by Michael Garcia, the visual takes place at a high school, where an animated Lil’ Kodak is running for homecoming king. Rolling up to the school in a fancy whip, taking over classrooms with performances, and walking through the hallways with his girlfriend, cartoon Kodak is all smiles.
However, even this fun-loving caricature has haters, including one angry young man who tears down his homecoming promo posters. It doesn’t seem to make a difference, as Lil’ Kodak takes over the prom festivities and walks away with the crown.
“Patty Cake” is the latest single off Kodak’s debut album Painting Pictures, which spawned the 2x platinum hit “Tunnel Vision.”
Up next, Black is readying Project Baby 2, the sequel to his 2013 mixtape.
