Tyler, the Creator Brings Out Frank Ocean & A$AP Rocky in NYC
Still celebrating the success of his album Flower Boy, Tyler, the Creator surprised fans with a special show at New York’s Webster Hall on Thursday (Aug. 3), where he was joined by some famous friends.
One of the new songs that the Odd Future MC performed onstage was “911 / Mr. Lonely.” The track’s guest Frank Ocean even popped up for the California-centric chorus to some major applause.
But Frank wasn’t the only surprise guest. In fact, A$AP Rocky also joined Tyler onstage for their new collaboration, “Who Dat Boy.” After fans crowd-surfed for the duo, the Odd Future frontman shared gratitude for Flacko.

“We [ended] up touring and this ni**a put a fuckin’ fire on everything I was making and sparked some new shit,” said Tyler. “[That] made me make way better music so I want to thank this ni**a.” The duo ended up performing A$AP Mob’s “Telephone Calls.”

Tyler, the Creator’s Flower Boy opened at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 this week after a tight race with Lana Del Rey’s Lust for Life, which topped the chart, and Meek Mill’s Wins & Losses, which arrived at No. 3. After hoping to land in the top spot, the Odd Future MC congratulated Del Rey and celebrated his own ongoing successes.
