Solange Joins Dave Chappelle's Radio City Music Hall Residency
Solange is joining Dave Chappelle’s star-studded residency at Radio City Music Hall, which is scheduled to kick off this week in New York City.
Two new shows have just been added to a jam-packed month of performances. On one of those new dates (Aug. 22) will feature Solange as Dave’s special guest, performing songs from her critically-lauded album, A Seat at the Table.
Meanwhile, Leslie Jones, Michael Che, Colin Jost, and special guests have also been added to another new show on Aug. 12.
It’s shaping up to be a busy August for Chappelle, who kicks off his residency tomorrow with Lil Wayne and The Roots. After that, he will complete the week with assistance from Ice Cube, Common, Vince Staples, and Big Boi, all backed by the legendary Roots crew.
The rest of the month will continue with more star-studded dates at the famed New York venue. Special guests will include Chris Rock, Erykah Badu, Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Yasiin Bey, Talib Kweli, and more.
Chapelle’s residency is set to run through Aug. 24, when he will be joined by John Mayer and Lil Jon. The latter, who will perform a DJ set, was famously lampooned on the legendary sketch comedy program “Chappelle’s Show” while Mayer also appeared on the series.
