New Music: Trae Tha Truth feat. Post Malone - 'Too Late'
Before dropping his latest album, Tha Truth, Pt. 3, veteran rapper Trae Tha Truth teams up with Post Malone on his syrupy new single, “Too Late.”
Over a haunting piano-laden instrumental, the Texas rapper spits about his lengthy career. “I feel like I have nothing to lose,” he rhymes. “Who the fuck gon’ fit in my shoes / I’ve been patient for 20 years / Put some respect when I move / True status won’t get denied, I got no chances to lose.”
Posty offers some Auto-Tuned melodies for the hook, as well as a verse. “That purple shit is slowing down my vision,” he rap-sings. “Why you mad ’cause my roof gone missin’? / Ain’t a single problem with the way we livin’.”
Tha Truth, Pt. 3 is the follow-up to last year’s sequel and the 2015 original. Featuring Young Thug, Lil Durk, Wyclef, Dave East, Royce 5’9″, and D.R.A.M., the star-studded album is due Friday (July 21).
