Back by popular demand. Lloyd Banks returned to Hot 97 to deliver the most-requested freestyle, according to Funkmaster Flex.
The Punchline King popped up on the program recently to deliver some hard-hitting bars over Nas’ “N.Y. State of Mind.”
After asking for a moment of “silence for Prodigy,” Banks unleashed a rhyme that references a now-infamous Migos interview. “Chillin’,” he rapped. “Fresh on my vacation, back from movies / Ayo Flex! Look like I’m left off of ‘Bad and Boujee?'”
Elsewhere on the freestyle, Banks threatened to “shit on your mumble rap” and “choke a rapper with his purse strap.” “A lot of shit I’m not understanding,” he added. “Punks need addressing, they out here dressing funny.”
For the most part, Banks has been laying low all year, only dropping loose cuts like “The Only Thing” and “Toxic” from his #BlueFridaySeries back in January and February. However, he released two projects, All or Nothing: Live It Up and Halloween Havoc 3: Four Days of Fury, in 2016.
The G-Unit MC has not released a full-length album since 2010’s The Hunger for More 2. Prior to that, he dropped 2006’s Rotten Apple and 2004’s The Hunger for More.
