It was a family affair on Sunday (July 2), when Kanye West and 2 Chainz reunited for a gathering in Bel-Air.
The frequent collaborators and their families had quite the feast along with several others, including former Epic Records executive L.A. Reid. As “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” played, they sat down to dine with friends at Kanye and Kim’s Bel-Air mansion over the Fourth of July weekend.
2 Chainz posted an image of his family, including wife Kesha Ward Epps and children Harmony, Heaven, and Halo, next to Kanye, his wife Kim Kardashian, and their kids North and Saint.

Besides family time, Chainz and Yeezy hung out on the basketball court, too. Earlier today, Tity Boi — who played Division I basketball at Alabama State University in 1996 and 1997 — shared a photo of the two, along with UCLA’s Mens’ Basketball team. “Thank you @uclambb for letting me and Ye ball out at the court today,” he wrote.

Their bond shouldn’t come as a surprise. After all, the G.O.O.D. Music affiliates have collaborated on a slew of tracks, including “Champions,” “Mercy,” “Castro,” “The One,” and “Birthday Song.” West’s creative team DONDA also worked on the covers of 2 Chainz’s Based on a T.R.U. Story, B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time, and ColleGrove releases.
The photos arrived while Kanye was in the news for other reasons. Recently, he reportedly left TIDAL, which he co-owned, after a financial dispute worth $3 million. He is also allegedly feuding with JAY-Z for unspecified reasons, leading to several lyrics about their broken bond on Hov’s new album, 4:44.
