Donald Glover, who has become notoriously private in recent years, opened up to fans during his revealing Governors Ball set on Saturday (June 3).
Before launching into “Baby Boy” off his 2016 album Awaken, My Love!, Childish Gambino unveiled the name of his first-born son. “You gave me exactly what I needed,” he said. “This song is dedicated to everybody in this crowd and my young son, Legend.”

Beyond this personal detail, Glover ended his set on a bittersweet note, revealing that Gov Ball would be his final show of the year and that his next album will be his last. “I’ll see you for the last Gambino album,” he said as fans gasped.

The multi-faceted actor, writer, comedian, rapper, and singer has been performing as Childish Gambino since 2008. Since then, he’s released a slew of mixtapes, a couple of EPs, and a series of full-length albums, including 2011’s Camp, 2013’s Because the Internet, and last year’s Awaken, My Love!
If he does indeed leave music, Glover will have plenty of work in Hollywood. He’s landed roles in The Lion King, Star Wars, and Spider-Man films, and is set to return for a second season of the Golden Globe-winning “Atlanta” in 2018.
