Fifth Harmony & Gucci Mane Perform 'Down' on 'GMA'
It’s a “Good Morning” with 5H and Guwop.
Hot off the release of the Gucci Mane-assisted “Down,” Fifth Harmony paid a visit to “Good Morning America’s” Summer Concert Series on Friday (Jun. 2) to perform their single for the first time.
Marking a new chapter in the group’s legacy, following Camila Cabello’s departure, Lauren opened the set with confidence. “You miss us?” she asked. “You ready?”
Dressed in a blend of blue denim and black, she joined Ally, Normani, and Dinah Jane for a crowd-pleasing performance, featuring Guwop himself.
But he wasn’t the only guest during Fifth Harmony’s “GMA” set. After debuting their newest single, the girls also performed their 7/27 smash “Work From Home” with Ty Dolla $ign, who popped up for a cameo.

Capping off the performance, the girls wished Normani a happy 21st birthday with a very special cake celebration. Then, sans Kid Ink, the new quartet hit the stage for “Worth It.”

“Down” is the lead single off 5H’s forthcoming album, the follow-up to 7/27, and it’s also indicative of the group’s bond.
“It’s basically just a love song,” Normani told Music Choice. “But for us, also, anytime we perform it or we’re in rehearsal, we kind of connect with each other because we’ve been through so much and we’ve always held each other ‘Down.’ Hopefully that’s not cheesy… It’s a little cheesy but it’s the truth. We’ve been through so much. Through thick and thin, we’ve always got each other’s back.”
There is no word on when Fifth Harmony’s new album will drop or what it will be called. However, Dinah and Lauren told Beats 1 that they have been more involved in the songwriting process this time around and that they’ve collaborated with Skrillex and Poo Bear.
