Bebe Rexha and Lil Wayne throw a block party in the video for their infectious collaboration, “The Way I Are (Dance with Somebody).”
Directed by X, the visual is a multicultural celebration, where various ethnicities come together for a dance-filled day. “I just wanna dance with somebody,” sings Bebe. “It could be anybody.”
Lil Wayne shows up in the middle of the video, which was filmed at Golden Oak Ranch in Newell, Calif. Backed by a lowrider and a slew of dancers, Weezy oozes with charisma. “Can’t dance but kinda grind her,” he raps, while showing off his platinum smile.
“I couldn’t be more excited to finally share this video with everyone,” Bebe told Complex. “Shooting with Wayne and all the dancers was so much fun. I really wanted this to look and feel more fun and carefree—something that everyone can get down with and vibe out to.”
“The Way I Are (Dance with Somebody)” is a warm up for Bebe’s forthcoming All Your Fault: Pt. 2 project, a sequel to February’s original. That project spawned “I Got You,” which recently went gold.
“This is for the guy who told me that all I’ll ever be is girl from New York City with a dream. I Got You certified gold in the U.S. 500k sold,” she recently tweeted. “My first certified gold solo single.”
