Lil Uzi Vert has some words for the fashion police.
The “XO Tour Llif3” rapper turned heads once again with the $2400 sheer white Valentino top he wore to Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards. But Vert addressed those who’ve criticized his clothing choices as “feminine.”
“You know what it is?” he told Sway Calloway and Jeannie Mai on the carpet. “They never felt these fabrics before. That’s all.”
Recently, Vert was heavily criticized by some for wearing a shirt that Machine Gun Kelly previously wore in a music video. MGK, however, didn’t face the same backlash. Speaking to Complex, Uzi said the two laughed about it. “Of course,” he said. “That’s my homie.”
But when asked if he was surprised by the critics, Uzi denied them altogether this time. “No,” he explained. “They love me.”
Uzi is now prepping the release of his oft-delayed and highly-anticipated album Luv Is Rage 2, which he says will “be out soon.”
