Safaree gets rid of “Bad Energy” on the K. Michelle-assisted single off his upcoming project Shoulda Been Did It.

Directed by Jay Parpworth, the sleek video opens with the Stunt Gang boss contemplating life in Jamaica. Blending aerial shots of the majestic landscape with a VHS effect, the dynamic clip finds the “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star in front of a breathtaking waterfall.

“Me rappin’, you was not havin’,” he rhymes over the Philly Swain production. “Heard your new shit, what the fuck happened? / Like a broke finger, you are not snappin’ / You in a big ass boat with no captain / Like church pants, you have been slackin’.”

Although K. Michelle doesn’t appear in the visual, her voice can be heard throughout, lending an angelic refrain to the confessional track. “Lord, please rain down on me,” she sings. “Too much bad energy.”

“‘Bad Energy’ is a story of enlightenment and an explanation of how I used good energy to override the bad,” Safaree tells Rap-Up. “It’s a song I kept in the cut for a minute, but now I feel it’s time to release the ball of energy.”

“Bad Energy” follows past releases like “Time,” “Stunt Daddy,” and “Can’t Lie,” ahead of SB’s forthcoming Shoulda Been Did It project, which is due this year.
