Travis Scott is full of surprises. After dropping three new songs last night, La Flame has announced that his Quavo joint project is on the way.
During an interview with GQ, the “goosebumps” spitter revealed the news, hinting that it could drop as a surprise. “The Quavo album is coming soon,” he said. “I’m dropping new music soon. You know how I do it though: I like surprises.”
This was certainly on display Monday (May 15), when he dropped “A man,” “Butterfly Effect,” and the Playboi Carti-assisted “Green & Purple” out of the blue.
Scott’s Quavo collaboration has been previously teased. Just last month, he previewed the project during a FaceTime interview with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe.
Beyond his work with Quavo, Scott is also prepping his third album AstroWorld, a follow-up to last year’s Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight.
La Flame is also currently on his “Birds Eye View Tour,” which ends July 9 in Finland. Three days later, on July 12, he starts on Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN. Tour.”
Speaking with GQ, Scott said he hopes he can fly his famous animatronic bird — the centerpiece of his stage design — during the K-Dot trek. “That bird can fly,” he said. “I’m going on tour with Kendrick, so hopefully I can fly it then.”
