Fresh out the oven, Katy Perry serves up an appetizing video for her Migos-assisted single “Bon Appétit.” Directed by Dent De Cuir, the food-centric clip starts off with the pop star wrapped in plastic like a piece of meat. A group of knife-wielding chefs cut open the packaging and dump her in a vat of flour, prodding her body and stretching her out.
Then it’s off to the kitchen, where she’s covered in seasonings and dumped in a pot of boiling water and basted. After being cooked to perfection, she’s presented to a hungry crowd at a fancy dinner party, where Migos are among the guests. While stacks of money sit on the table, Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset play it cool before all hell breaks loose.
In a surprise twist, the chefs take the diners hostage, tying them up and blindfolding them, while Katy dances on a stripper pole. In the end, it turns out that the guests are on the menu. Plus, look for a cameo from famed chef Roy Choi.
Following “Chained to the Rhythm,” “Bon Appétit” is the second single off Perry’s upcoming album. She will perform on the season finale of “SNL” on May 20.
